About Us

The I.U.O.E local union 450 apprenticeship and training fund is a hybrid program, meaning our apprenticeship program is measured through a combination of hours spent in the program and competence demonstrated in the workplace.

Our apprenticeship program covers a three-year period or more to acquire the mandatory 4000 to 6000 hours of paid on the job training (O.J. T.) and the non-paid related classroom instruction of 144 hours per year (432 term) during the program. Our safety-based training is designed for rigging and heavy equipment, from operating a rubber tire backhoe to large hydraulic cranes and other equipment in the commercial and industrial construction fields.
